Anne Morgan Spalter (b. 1965) is an American digital-art pioneer who founded the original digital fine arts programs at Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design in the 1990s and authored the widely used textbook The Computer in the Visual Arts (Addison-Wesley, 1999). Her digital mixed-media work is held in museum collections including the Centre Pompidou, the Victoria & Albert Museum, and the Buffalo AKG Art Museum, and her AI-assisted works have been auctioned at Sotheby's and Phillips. Since 2020, she has extended her long-standing digital practice into blockchain and AI-based work, including the 501-piece AI Spaceships collection (2022).
