Atay Ilgun (Turkish spelling: Atay İlgün) is a Turkish-born, London-based artist, creative technologist and curator working at the intersection of reality systems, AI, crypto-art and immersive live events. Trained in graphic design at Bilkent University in Ankara, he lectured on machine learning and interactive arts at Bahcesehir and Kadir Has universities in Istanbul, worked as an AI developer and lead AI artist with the studio Ouchhh, and served as assistant curator at London's IKLECTIK Art Lab (2020-2024). In May 2019 he released Realiti, a 186-piece GAN series that stands among the earliest AI-art NFT collections minted with their own smart contract on Ethereum. He was later a selected contributor to OpenAI's early artist programme (DALL-E 2) and co-curated the first NFT Biennial (2023). He also runs the independent publishing house Wounded Wolf Press, founded in the UK in 2011.
