Yuma Kishi (岸裕真, b. 1993) is a Japanese artist who completed a master's degree in electrical engineering at the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Engineering before studying Intermedia Art at the Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School of Fine Arts. Working under the handle "obake_ai", he treats AI as an "Alien Intelligence" - an autonomous, non-human intellect - and collaborates with self-developed models to produce data-driven digital works, paintings, sculptures, and installations, initially using GANs trained on imagery from art history. Since 2023, his own AI model "MaryGPT" has curated nearly all of his production, and his work has been featured by brands and publications including Nike and Vogue.
