Within three years GANs were conjuring convincing strangers, then painterly nudes that collectors mistook for expressionism. By 2023 the dreamed face carries a biography: lit, weathered, remembered. Hung in order, these six works are a single decade-long portrait session - the sitter never existed, and the painter slowly opened its eyes.
